Raymond Jacklin

Hi, I'm Raymond Jacklin.  I'm 18 years old and I like playing video games.  My favorite series are Final Fantasy and Elder SCrolls.  The top two movies I like are Watchmen and The Dark Knight.  My favorite music is Rock and Roll, favorite musician is Jimi Hendrix.

Brittany Johnson

My name is Brittany Johnson, and I am from Freeville, New York.  I am seventeen and my birthday is August fifth.  I have one sibling, a sister, who is about seventeen months older than me.  Randomness is one of my best known characteristics.  I like most kinds of music, but mostly rock and pop.  I also love most Tim Burton movies and I'm obsessed with disner movie.  I think Sweeney Todd is the best musical ever.  How I met your mother is my favorite television show on the planet! I love nature and animals.  I currently have six pets: a dog (Charlie), a bunny (Gigi), and four cats (muffin, Boomer, Chessur, and Gus).
I chose to come to TC3 because its not too big of a school.  I live only about ten to fifteen miunutes away, and I know many people who have told me it's a great college, and they enjoyed coming.

Tamecia Johnson

Here's a little introduction about me.  My first name is Tamecia.  My grandma decided to name a lot of people in my family with a similar name.  I have a sister named Jamecia and Benecia.  I also have a cousin named Janecia.  I think our names are extremely weird but everyone else loves them.  I grew up on the south side of Florida then when we moved here I grew up on the south side of Syracuse.  I love music.  All kinds of music.  I prefer the R and B though.  My favorite song is called This Plane by Wiz Khalifa.  It's very motivational and it speaks the truth.  Kind of reminds me of my life.  When I'm not in class annoying my teachers you would probably catch me in the gym playing basketball.  That's my favorite sport and also something I'm very good at.  I used to dream of going to the WNBA one day after college.  Before college I got myself into a lot of trouble.  I realized that what I was doing was only hurting people that really cared about me so I start eliminating people out of my life.  I think I did a good job because now that I'm in college this is something I love and want to continnue until I'm successful.

Deshawn Dewar

Hey wassup?  My name is Deshawn and I'm from Brooklyn, New York.  I like to play basketball and football and music is my stress reliever.  I'm a cool dude once you get know me.  I love to laugh so I like everyone around me to laugh too.  It's funny though because people tell me I have the image of a cocky uptight person.  But that's not me at all.  Well with time hope you get to learnin more about me.

Mikhail Brown

My name is Mikhail Brown, I was born in cortland New York. I moved to Marathon

NY when i was 5 and lived there untill i was 16. Growning up in marathon was pretty

shitty, most of the people in the town and the kids in school were racist. I would say that

the things i was called in Marathon made me change who i was. I moved to Greene NY

and graduated highschool there. Im very quiet and unconfident because i was always

treated second best to my brother by my family. 

I like Hip-Hop, Rap, and Techno music, but picking a favorite song would be way

to hard because i know to many good ones. For activities and interests its pretty much

just sports and video games, i dont like partying and i dont drink or do any drugs. I dont

watch a lot of TV, but there are way to many movies to have to pick one favorite. A few

I really liked recently have been Rio, Jackass 3.5, and persuit of happyness. 

Why Tc3? For me my first choice wasnt Tc3, my first choice was Cortland State for

Track but then i injured my leg my senior track season. Then i was goin to play soccer at

Cortland but i was to afraid that i wouldnt get good playing time so i wanted to start at a

community college to get used to the college atmosphere that wasnt to far from home so i

can see my girlfriend of 3 years. So i picked Tc3 because i know they have a very good

soccer program and it wasnt far from home, and they had dorms unlike BCC which was

only a 20 minute drive but i wanted to get used to not living at home. My next plan is going

to a college close to where my girlfriend goes to college, which will either be near UNC, 

Maryland, Villanova, Penn state or Hofstra for field hockey.

Jamie Urquhart

I'm Jamie and i'm 19 years old. I was born in a town called Sandy Creek, its a very small town about fourty-five minutes north of Syracuse. I also graduated high school from Sandy Creek. There wasnt a lot to do other than sports. I did cheerleading from first grade through my senior year of high school. This is my second year at TC3. I decided to come to TC3 because one of my friends went here the year before I did and I came to visit and liked it. My favorite tv shows are between big brother and jersey shore. My favorite movie is the Twlight movies, I LOVE JACOB BLACK! :)

Wadup my name is Jennah and I am 18 years of age. I’m fun,shy, creative, nice, SILLY and all around just a chill person . I can be low key at times when I don’t want to be bothered but that’s very rare. I was born in Brooklyn New York. I was raised there and in Queens for most of my younger years and moved to Atlanta Georgia when I was 13. From there I been living in East Atlanta(zone6) , when I first got there I hated it of course and wanted to move back to New York but I got over it after a while and started to like it. I would visit New York ever chance I got summers and school breaks. In my free time I like to chill with friend, draw and party. Anyways I have three sisters the oldest out of us all is Saeeda she  is 19 years old a sophomore in Armstrong University in Savannah Georgia and two little sisters Imani and Rasheeda. Imani is 2 years old and Rasheeda is 2 they both attend head-start and they both know there ABC’S and there 123’S lol they all can be annoying at times but I still love em!!! After graduating from here I plan on going back to Georgia and attending Savannah Sate University after graduating from there with a degree in something which im am still undecided on . I will be moving back to New York to start modeling full time and that’s about it. Now you know a little more about me than you did before.

John Thompson

I'm originally from Mesa, Arizona. I moved to upstate New York to be closer to relatives. I'm a self-professed nerd, I love videogames, Dungeons And Dragons, fixing and building computers. I also spend a good chunk of my free time reading. I'm going to TC3 to get some college credits and get some of the basic classes out of the way and hopefully focus on a medical degree, or maybe pharmacology. Hopefully this Summer I can do some travelling, I would particularly like to visit France.

Devaun Manley

My name is Devaun Manley and im 18 years old. Im a freshman at Tompkins Cortland Community College. I was born on October 30, 1992 in Middletown, New York. But was raised in Brooklyn and Atlanta most of my life. My family and I moved from New York to Atlanta, Georgia & back to upstate ny. I have two sisters and two brothers and im the oldest son. I also have a little sister on ym fathers side of the family. My favorite music is Hip-Hop, RnB, Jazz, and anything that catches my attention. My favorite foods are pizza,subs,hot pockets, and cheeseburgers. Im an athletic male, ive played football for my high school. I miss it alot and want to go back just to play again. My senior year we went to the dome at the beginning and went defeated the whole season. I love playing sports also like basketball and baseball. I workout at the gym, where i get my gains of muscles, its one of my hobbies. I also have a talent in writing my own lyrics to beats, recording songs in studios. I have my own recording equipment that i use sometimes, and ive been rapping/singing for five years. Once i transfer from tc3, im pursuing a career in the music business. The reason why i chose tc3 was because i was unsure on what college i wanted to attend.

Sarah Mogil

Hey! My name is Sarah Mogil and I would like to share a little bit about myself. I hope it doesn't bore you too much! I am 19 years old as of this past July 6 and this is my first semester in college, obviously. After graduating high school in 2010, I decided to spice things up in my life by taking a year off to be a foreign exchange student. "Where did you go?" many people ask me. From August 1, 2010 until June 21, 2011, I stayed in Denmark. Now, not many people know where this little country is located or what their language even is. Denmark is that tiny peninsula jutting off the top of Germany with a few other islands belonging to it. The official language of Denmark, believe it or not, is Danish. I am *almost* fluent in this unpopular language and it is unfortunately slowly slipping from my brain. I could go on and on, writing several essays about my year abroad, but obviously this isn't the place to do it.

Well, enough about that exciting period in my life and onto the more normal, or not so normal, aspects about me. I was born and grew up in Ithaca. Although I hate to say it, I didn't always live in Ithaca. At the age of 6 years old, my family and I moved to the rural town of Lansing, about 10-15 minutes outside of Ithaca. I would have to say I love alternative rock, classic rock, acoustic, and dubstep music. Anything and everything in between can also be found on my iPod. However, I can't pick one favorite song, I do love most of Skrillex's music. Some activities you could find me doing would be volunteering at the SPCA of Tompkins County or taking care of my pets. I do love to hang out with my friends from high school or talk to my exchange student friends over Facebook or Skype. My interests include animal care and, as stated already, helping out at animal shelters. In 10 years or so, I could see myself as a veterinarian or vet tech at a shelter, bringing in sick animals and helping them get better.

Why did I choose to come to TC3 after an amazing 11 months in Europe? Well, I'm pretty much broke right now. Also, after spending so much time not really applying myself in school because I couldn't understand most of it, I felt that going to TC3 would help ease myself back into the routine of homework and studying. Once I get my feet wet in the college lifestyle, I will transfer to a 4-year school to get my bachelor's and then on to vet school. I love animals! That's all you need to know!

Cari Niles

My name is Cari Niles, and I’m 17 years old from a small city called Sherrill. Sherrill is the smallest city in New York and is known around my school as the “rich” town. There are no farms in Sherrill, but in Vernon and Verona there are farms everywhere. There is also a law in Sherrill that says that there are no farm animals aloud in the city.  I went to VVS High School and graduated this past school year. During my free time I like to listen to music, hang out with my friends, and watching basketball. I loved high school basketball last year and I went to every game with a bunch of my friends. I’m really interested in listening to different kinds of music and finding hidden messages in them to figure out the true meaning of the song. I don’t really have a favorite type of music; I listen to anything besides hard-core screamo. Some of my favorite songs have to be Without You by Keith Urban because my dad plays it on the guitar all the time. Also I am a really big fan of Nicki Minaj and some of my favorite songs of hers are Super Bass, Here I Am, Save Me, and many more. I chose to come to TC3 because I heard that it was a good school and some of my friends were coming here. Also my uncle told me that he has heard nothing but good things about this school which also helped me more with my decision to come here.
